Cisco Recruitment Process

Interview Process

Cisco publishes hiring guidance on its own careers site:

  • Timeline – Most applicants hear back within 7–10 days of applying, and many interview processes complete within 2–3 weeks.
  • How interviews happen – Cisco states it never interviews by chat or email; interviews are held over Webex, by phone or in person.
  • Legitimate contact – Official recruitment email comes only from scheduling@phenomscheduling.com, hiring@careers.cisco.com or opportunities@careeralerts.cisco.com. Cisco never charges application, interview or training fees.

The round structure below is not published by Cisco and is compiled from public reporting on its India campus hiring:

  1. Eligibility check.
  2. “Code with Cisco” online assessment – About 90 minutes, roughly 40 MCQs plus 2 coding problems, commonly reported with no negative marking.
  3. One or two technical interviews – Data structures, computer networks, operating systems, OOP and a project walkthrough. Networking depth is weighted more heavily here than in typical IT-services drives.
  4. Managerial and HR round.
