Adani's campus hiring is structured and completes within a day or two; lateral hiring is interview-led and usually takes two to five weeks depending on the business.
1. Application and shortlisting
Apply through campus placement, the Adani careers portal or a job portal such as Jobaaj. GET and management trainee drives specify eligible branches or streams and a minimum academic record; lateral roles are shortlisted on relevant industry experience.
2. Online assessment
Campus candidates take an online test covering aptitude, reasoning, English and a technical or domain section. Some businesses add a psychometric questionnaire to assess working style and resilience.
3. Group discussion or case exercise
Management trainee and some GET drives include a group discussion or a short case on an infrastructure or business topic, assessed for structure, communication and teamwork.
4. Technical or functional interview
Senior engineers or functional heads interview you on core subjects, projects, internships and practical scenarios from the business you are being considered for, such as port operations, power plants, solar parks or cement plants.
5. HR and leadership interview
An HR partner, sometimes with a business leader, discusses mobility, site postings, values and long-term intent. For senior lateral hires this becomes a leadership panel.
6. Offer, medical and onboarding
Selected candidates receive an offer, complete a pre-employment medical check and background verification, and trainees join an induction and rotation programme.
