ICICI Prudential runs a fairly quick, largely virtual process for front-line roles and a longer, multi-round process for corporate and management trainee positions. Most candidates go through the steps below.
1. Online application or referral
You apply on the ICICI Prudential careers page, through a job portal such as Jobaaj, via a campus placement cell or through an employee referral. Sales roles are advertised almost continuously, so recruiters often screen applications within a few days.
2. Recruiter screening call
A recruiter calls to confirm your qualifications, location preference, current CTC and notice period, and to check that you understand the role. For sales positions expect direct questions about your comfort with field work and targets.
3. Online assessment
Campus and trainee hiring usually includes a timed online test covering quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and English, sometimes with a situational-judgement section. Actuarial and analytics roles get an additional numerical or statistics test. Front-line sales hiring may skip this step.
4. Functional or sales interview
A branch manager, channel head or functional lead interviews you for 20 to 40 minutes. Sales candidates are asked to pitch a product, handle an objection and talk about how they would build a customer base. Corporate candidates face domain questions relevant to finance, operations, actuarial science or technology.
5. Senior management interview
Management trainees and mid-level hires meet a regional head or a function head. This round is about ambition, stability, willingness to relocate and cultural fit with a target-driven, compliance-conscious organisation.
6. HR discussion and offer
HR discusses compensation structure, incentives, joining date and background verification. Selected candidates then complete documentation and join an induction programme before being posted to a branch or department.
